1、《Unit 9 How many?》第四課教案
Preparation
Photocopy Drillcard Master 10(page 163)onto light card. Cut it up to make a set of drillcards.
1.Trace the words
Student Book page 32
Hold up two pencils. Say, “How many pencils are there?” Elicit from the children, “There are two.”
Have the child
2、ren open their books at page 32. Show your copy of the page. Draw their attention to the first sentence. Say, “We are going to write what we said just now.” Have the children trace the word two.
On the second line, have the children copy the word two by themselves.
Repeat the procedure for
3、the other sentences.
2.Match the number

Have the children open their books at page 32. Draw their attention to the pieces of broken paper strips. Tell them the words on these strips are the names of numbers, but they were broken by someone. Tell the children that you w
4、ant them to restore the words.
Point to the first one. Ask the children which number do they think it is. Elicit the correct answer seven from the children to find the matching part for the word seven.
Now have the children draw a line between the two parts of the word seven and match them
5、together and say it aloud.
Repeat the procedure for the other words.

Pin up the drillcards to make the sentence How many birds are there? Read the sentence aloud. Point to each word as you say it. Have the children repeat the words after you.

Now have the children read the sentence by themselves as you point to each word.
Repeat the procedure, substituting eggs and flowers for birds.
Choose one child to hold the drillcard for There are. Choose another nine children. Give each child a number drillcard. Have the children stand in
7、 a line in numerical order.
Have the child with the There are drillcard stand facing the class. Call the first child in the line to stand beside him or her. Make sure that they form the sentence There are two.
Read the question How many (eggs) are there? Have the children repeat the question a
8、fter you.
Now have the children read the answer as you point to the drillcards.
Have the second child in the line step forward to change places with the child holding the two drillcard. Repeat the question and read the new answer.
Repeat the procedure until all the numbers (except one) h
9、ave been used.
Have the children turn to page 33. Model the structures on Uncle Booky’s Blackboard by reading them aloud to the children.
Have the children repeat the questions and answers after you in a class drill.

Have the children look at the bo
10、ttom half of the page. Display your copy of the page. Point to the bananas. Ask, “How many bananas are there?” Elicit, “There are nine.”
Say the names of the objects in the picture, pointing to each object. Have the children repeat after you.
Point to an object and ask, “How many (potatoes
11、) are there?” Elicit, “There are (eight).”
Have the children repeat the activity in pairs. Make sure each child takes a turn asking the question and responding.

Tell the children that you want them to finish the tracing task on page32.
