SHOWING OUR FEELINGS

4、owever. Smiles around the world can be false, hiding other feelings like anger, fear or worry. There are unhappy smiles, such as when someone "loses face"(丟臉 save face 保全面子) and smiles to hide it. However, the general purpose of smiling is to show good feelings.
From the time we are babies, we
5、 show unhappiness or anger by frowning. In most places around the world, frowning and turning one's back to (背對某人)someone shows anger. Making a fist and shaking it almost always means that someone is angry and threatening another person.

從孩提時候

世界上有很多方式來表示同意,但是幾乎全世界都用上下點(diǎn)頭來表示同意。大多數(shù)人也都知道左右搖頭表示不同意或拒絕做某事。
如何來表示我很厭煩呢?在多數(shù)情況下,把眼光從人們身上移開或者打個哈欠,會使我看上去(對此人或此事)不感興趣。但是如果我轉(zhuǎn)身面對某人或者某事,幾乎每一個文化背景的人都會認(rèn)為我(對此人或此事)感興趣。如果我轉(zhuǎn)動著眼球,把頭扭向一邊,很可能是我不相信或者不喜歡所聽到的話。
根據(jù)每一種文化,對人們表示尊重都是帶有主觀性的。但是一般來說
12、,擁抱你的老板或老師很可能是不妥當(dāng)?shù)?。在幾乎每一種文化里,站在離級別跟高的人太近都不太好。站的有一定的距離,把手微微張開,會表示我愿意傾聽。
人們之間的文化差異非常多,但好在身體語言有一些相似之處。盡管我們常常會彼此誤解,但我們?nèi)阅茏龅奖舜死斫猓@真是件令人驚奇的事。
