5、白費唇舌。 ● 還可作動詞。如:We mustn’t waste a drop of water or a grain of rice. 一滴水一粒米我們都不應(yīng)當(dāng)浪費。 作動詞時,waste常用于下列結(jié)構(gòu)中:waste sth. on (doing) sth. “在某事上浪費”或waste time (in) doing“浪費時間做某事”。如: ① He wasted lots of his time and money on playing cards. 打牌浪費了他大量的時間和金錢。 ② Don’t waste time talking to
