1、2020學年人教版英語精品資料 同位語從句 Section_ⅣGrammar_&_Writing 一、同位語從句的定義 1.在主從復合句中,在句中作某一名詞尤其是抽象名詞的同位語,一般位于該名詞之后,說明該名詞的具體內(nèi)容的從句叫同位語從句。 2.能跟同位語從句的名詞一般是fact, news, idea, truth, hope, problem, information, wish, promise, answer, evidence, report, explanation, suggestion, conclusion等抽象名詞。 The fact that

2、she hadn't said anything surprised us all. 她什么也沒說的事實讓我們大家都很驚訝。 I have no idea what he is doing now. 我不知道他現(xiàn)在在干什么。 He raised a question where we would have our meeting. 他提出我們將在哪里舉行會議的疑問。 二、同位語從句的連接詞及用法 1.從屬連詞that, whether等。 (1)如果同位語從句意義完整,應用that引導同位語從句。that不充當任何成分,只起連接作用,但是不可省略。 I don'

3、;t like the idea that money is everything. 我不喜歡認為金錢就是一切的觀點。 The news came that they had won the game. 他們贏得比賽的消息傳來了。 (2)如果同位語從句意義不完整,需要表示“是否”之意時,應用whether引導同位語從句。whether引導同位語從句時,在從句中不充當成分,但有“是否”之意(if不能引導同位語從句)。 We'll discuss the problem whether the sports meeting will be held on time. 我們將討論

4、運動會是否會如期舉行的問題。 2.連接副詞how, why, where, when等。 如果同位語從句意義不完整,需要表示“什么時候”“什么地點”“什么方式”等意時,應用when,where,how等詞引導同位語從句,并在從句中充當狀語。 I have no idea when he will be back. 我不知道他什么時候回來。 We haven't yet settled the question where we are going to spend our summer vacation. 到哪兒去過暑假,這個問題我們還沒有決定。 1 (重慶高考改編)

5、—Is it true that Mike refused an offer from Yale University yesterday? —Yeah, but I have no idea why he did it; that's one of his favorite universities. 3.連接代詞what, who, which等。 如果同位語從句意義不完整,需要表示“什么”“哪一個”“誰”等意時,應用what, which, who等詞引導同位語從句,并在從句中充當主語、賓語、表語等。 The question who should go abroad r

6、equired consideration.(who充當主語) 誰會出國這個問題還需要考慮。 He has no idea what he should do next.(what 充當賓語) 他不知道下一步要做什么。 2 (浙江高考改編)The only way to succeed at the highest level is to have total belief that you are better than anyone else on the sports field. 三、同位語從句應注意的幾個問題 1.分隔式同位語從句:有時同位語從句與其所說明的名詞會被其他

7、成分隔開,從而形成分隔式同位語從句,這樣做主要是為了保持句子結構平衡,避免頭重腳輕。 News came from the school office that Wang Lin had been admitted to Beijing University. 從學校辦公室傳來消息,王林被北京大學錄取了。 3 ①(江蘇高考改編)The notice came around two in the afternoon that the meeting would be postponed. ②(重慶高考改編)Evidence has been found through years of

8、 study that children's early sleeping problems are likely to continue when they grow up. 2.名詞suggestion, order, demand, command, request, desire, proposal等后的同位語從句要使用虛擬語氣,即從句謂語用“should+do”,should可省略。 We'd better accept his suggestion that we (should) start right now. 我們最好接受他的建議,立刻動身。 3.名

9、詞doubt(懷疑)后可跟同位語從句,若用于肯定句中時用whether引導;若用于否定句中時則用that引導。 There is some doubt whether they will come to help us. 他們是否能來幫助我們還不確定。 I have no doubt that he will win the game. 我堅信他會贏得這場比賽。 四、同位語從句與定語從句的區(qū)別 1.that既可引導同位語從句也可引導定語從句。在同位語從句中that為連接詞,僅起連接詞的作用;在定語從句中that為關系代詞,既起連接作用,還在從句中充當主語、賓語、表語等。 The

10、news that we won the match is true.(同位語從句) 我們贏了比賽的消息是真的。 The news that you told us last night made us very happy.(定語從句) 昨晚你告訴我們的那個消息讓我們很高興。 4 (陜西高考改編)Please send us all the information that you have about the candidate for the position. 2.wh­類引導詞引導同位語從句有其本身的疑問含義;引導定語從句沒有疑問意思。 Have you go

11、t any idea where our English evening is to be held? 你知道我們的英語晚會在哪兒舉行嗎?(同位語從句) This is the place where our English evening is to be held. 這就是我們要舉行英語晚會的地方。(定語從句) We have no idea when they will turn up.(同位語從句) 我們不知道他們什么時候出現(xiàn)。 I will never forget the days when we lived in the countryside.(定語從句) 我永遠
