38 They entertain us in our spare moments.Good novels, books on poetry and short stories, give us great enjoyment. At times we become so absorbed in our books that we forget even our important arrangements.Loneliness is no trouble for a reader. C.When we are alone, books are our best friends. 2.根據(jù)“論據(jù)”推導(dǎo)出“論點(diǎn)” [考題回放] (2015全國(guó)卷Ⅰ) 38 Having confidence in yourself will help you make better choices because you can see what the best outcome would be for your well-being. A.Learn to really trust yourself. The moments when I think cooking is a pain are when Im already hungry and theres nothing ready to eat.So think ahead of the coming week. When will you have time to cook? Do you have the right materials already?17.A little time planning ahead can save a lot of work later on. 2.Make your time worth it.When you do find time to cook a meal, make the most of it and save yourself time later on.Are you making one loaf of bread?18.Make tree or four instead. It takes around the same amount of time to make more of something. So save yourself the effort for a future meal. 3. 19 This may surprise you,but one of the best tools for making cooking worth your time is experimentation. It gives you the chance to hit upon new ideas and recipes that can work well with your appetite and schedule. The more you learn and the more you try,the more ability you have to take control of your food and your schedule. A.Try new things. Our model of what a garden should be often goes back to childhood.Grandmas rose garden and Dads vegetable garden might be good or bad,but thats not whats important.19.Its our experience of the garden that matters—how being in those gardens made us feel.If youd like to build a powerful bond with your garden, start by taking some time to recall the gardens of your youth. 20 .Then go outside and work out a plan to translate your childhood memories into your grown-up garden.Have fun. G.For each of those gardens, write down the strongest memory you have A (2016合肥市第一次教學(xué)質(zhì)量檢測(cè)) How to Help a Teenager Make Good Decisions Habitually poor decision-making is actually common in teenagers.Naturally, such a habit makes parent-teen cooperation difficult, especially when a parent wants his teen to do what a “responsible adolescent” would do.A poor decision-making teenager can never run away from his responsibilities. 1 ●Distinguish real problems from acts of pure “teenagerism”.Teens often make poor decisions simply because they dont have the experiences.By making small and harmless mistakes, like a recently-developed habit of careless consuming,a teen learns good decision-making skills on his own via selfcorrection. 2 Dont think the teen is making bad decisions just to challenge you.Its more likely it is out of a real inability to determine whats best for him. ● 3 Tell your teen you understand his decisions while simply emphasizing that you dont have to agree with his decisions or treat his views as valid.By not judging his opinions, tastes or style, you are opening the road to better communication and problem-solving opportunities. ●Set clear expectations. 4 For example,if your teen refuses to study for his math final because “math is pointless”,explain that you expect him to perform well in school, even in the “pointless” classes.Because youve already tolerated his opinion without trying to change his viewpoint, you two can easily agree that math isnt so useful, yet avoid saying “Lets just give up on math, then.” ●Find a middle ground.Trade insignificant freedoms, such as clothing style for the promise that hell live up to academic and family responsibilities. 5 Not only does giving up a bit of control solve many conflicts, but the extra freedom you give him can also improve his decision-making. A.Show tolerance. B.Learn to solve problems. C.Point out your expectations and his responsibilities. D.If your teen could realize it,allow him to be himself. E.A responsible adolescent must have role models to learn from. F.Therefore, its important to guide them with problem-solving strategies. G.Next time, hell be more likely to think twice before making his buying decision. 故選A。] B (2016石家莊市教學(xué)質(zhì)量檢測(cè)) Everyone can benefit from making an effort to practice gratitude(感激) every day.The following three steps can help you start feeling more grateful, and appreciative of the good things in your life: Notice the Good Things in Your Life 6 Pay attention to the small everyday details of your life—nature, people, community, shelter, creature comforts like a warm bed or a good meal. And then start a gratitude journal.Making a commitment to writing down good things each day makes it more likely that we will notice good things as they happen. Enjoy the Feeling of Gratitude There are moments when you naturally, right then and there, feel filled with gratitude. These are moments when you say to yourself,“Oh,wow, this is amazing!” or “How great this is!” Pause. 7 Let it sink in.Enjoy your blessings the moment they happen. Express Gratitude Expressing gratitude is more than being polite. 8 Show your appreciation to someone who really did something nice.Say:“ It was really kind of you to...” “You did me a big favor when...” or “Thank you for being there when...”. 9 Hold the door open for the person behind you, even if it means waiting a little longer than you normally would. True gratitude doesnt leave you feeling like you owe other people something—after all,if youve done someone a favor, you probably dont want the person to feel like you expect something back in return. 10 A.Its about showing your heartfelt appreciation. B.Notice and absorb that feeling of true gratitude. C.You can also express gratitude by doing a kindness. D.Its all about feeling good and creating a cycle of good. When you are nervous, angry or upset, try releasing(釋放)the pressure through exercise or physical activity. 16 ●Take care of yourself. You should make every effort to eat well and get enough rest.If you easily get angry and cannot sleep well enough,or if youre not eating properly,it will be more likely that you will fall into situations of stress. 17 ●Make time for yourself. 18 Dont forget, play can be just as important as work. You need a break from your daily routine to just relax and have fun.Go window-shopping or work on a hobby.Allow yourself at least a half hour each day to do something you enjoy. ● 19 Stress can result from disorganization(雜亂無章) and a feeling that “theres so much to do,and not enough time”.Trying to take care of everything at once can be too much for you and,as a result, you may not achieve anything.Instead, make a list of everything you have to do,and then do one thing at a time. 20 Set out to do the most important tasks first.
