系動(dòng)詞Be(am, is, are)的用法
一、請記住以下口訣：
我用am，你用are，is連著他，她，它；
單數(shù)名詞用is，復(fù)數(shù)名詞全用are。
變疑問，往前提，句末問號(hào)莫丟棄。
變否定，更容易，be后not莫忘記。
疑問否定任你變，句首大寫莫遲疑。
二、Be動(dòng)詞在一般過去時(shí)中的變化：
1．a(chǎn)m 和is在一般過去時(shí)中變?yōu)閣as。（was not = wasn’t）
2．a(chǎn)re在一般過去時(shí)中變?yōu)閣ere。（were not = weren’t）
3．帶有was或were的句子，其否定、疑問的變化和am,is, are一樣，即否定句在was或were后加not，
2、一般疑問句把was或were調(diào)到句首。

am, is, are的用法
?
1. is和are可分別與not縮寫為isn’t和aren’t，但am卻不能與not縮寫為amn’t ，雖然有人把它縮為ain’t，但這畢竟是規(guī)范的口語說法，不宜仿用。

9、述部分為第一稱肯定式時(shí)的反意疑問句，通常用aren’t如：
I’m late, aren’t I?我遲到了，是嗎？
3. 不要認(rèn)為在主語之后總是用am。試看：
Both he and I are right. 他和我都對?；蛩臀叶疾粚Α?
Neither he nor I am (或are) right. 他和我都不對.
"I" is an English letter. I是英語字母。
4. 當(dāng)am, is are 位于句末時(shí)，均不能與主語縮寫。如：
Tell me where he is (不能用he’s )。告訴我他在哪兒。
He is taller than I am
10、 (不能用I’m )。他比我高。
A：Are they watching TV? 他們在看電視嗎？
B：Yes, they are. (不能用they’re)是的。
注：若其后有not時(shí)，am, is, are則可以與主語縮寫，其中is和are 也可與not 縮寫。如：
Are they watching TV? -No, they’re not (或they aren’t).
