Unit1 Reading, your present school life, campus, homework, class size, activities,…,your dream school life ?,A day in a Chinese high school Chinese high school students have the longest study hours compared to their peers in Britain, Japan and the U.S. . The day started off bright and early at 6:30 with the morning drill followed by morning self-study. Morning rituals aside, the core coursework began shortly after 8:00 with a class line-up including Chinese, math, physics, chemistry, politics, geography, biology, and of course, English. There was also an evening of all-important night study until nine o’clock with a mountain of homework to battle. The food in the school seemed not to be satisfactory. It was quite interesting that many students left the campus for lunch; meeting their parents outside the gate, heading to the food stalls nearby and otherwise. When I asked the students about the school’s food, they responded with disgusted faces, referring to it as ‘toxic’ and proceeding to tell me horror stories about mysterious discoveries in school-served dishes.,A day in a Chinese high school,Alex,Chinese high school students have the longest study hours compared to their peers in Britain, Japan and the U.S. .
