Ⅰ. Warming-up activities :
1. Greetings and free talk.

1. Draw a boy and a girl on the Bb. Get Ss to describe them and p
4、resent the words in Activityla.
2. Tell Ss to write down the words on a piece of paper and match each word with the opposite. Check the answers and read the words.
3. Compare some Ss to present the comparative degree of adjectives.
Ⅲ. Oral practice :
1. Show the picture of Tom and Sam. Present “
5、the twins” and the conversation. Then practice the conversation.
2. Show another two pictures. Help Ss to descn’be and compare the twins.
Ⅳ. Listening practice :
1. Listen and number the pictures [1-3]. Check the answers.
2. Listen and find out the two girls’ names. Put them on the picture.

1. Two Ss read the model conversation.

一、教學(xué)內(nèi)容分析:
本單元的中心話題是談?wù)搨€(gè)性特征(talk about personal traits)和比較他人(compare people)。這是一個(gè)非常符合八年級(jí)學(xué)生心理特點(diǎn)的話題。在這節(jié)課中,同學(xué)們第一次接觸形容詞的比較級(jí)(the comparative degree of adjectives),
13、并運(yùn)用這些詞進(jìn)行聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、演、寫(xiě)等各項(xiàng)練習(xí),教材對(duì)相關(guān)對(duì)話的設(shè)計(jì)及聽(tīng)力語(yǔ)言材料的選編無(wú)不緊扣比較(comparison)這個(gè)中心。
二、教學(xué)過(guò)程設(shè)計(jì):
溫故而知新。熱身環(huán)節(jié)(Warming-up activity)根據(jù)學(xué)生對(duì)老師的情況很好奇的心理特點(diǎn),設(shè)計(jì)了師生之間互問(wèn)問(wèn)題從而達(dá)到增進(jìn)了解的目的,并且做到師生平等,形成和諧的課堂氣氛,讓學(xué)生敢說(shuō)、愿說(shuō)。作為“熱身”的另外一部分,一個(gè)同學(xué)間互作自我介紹的游戲,激發(fā)了學(xué)生的興趣和熱情。同時(shí),通過(guò)聽(tīng)、看、說(shuō)的充分練習(xí),復(fù)習(xí)了身高、體形、長(zhǎng)相等方面的單詞,為下一步描述圖畫(huà)作鋪墊。
呈現(xiàn)(Presentation)新知識(shí)前,在
14、黑板上畫(huà)兩個(gè)簡(jiǎn)筆畫(huà),既簡(jiǎn)單又形象,然后引導(dǎo)學(xué)生進(jìn)行對(duì)比描述,呈現(xiàn)反義詞。在學(xué)生將反義詞搭配好之后,進(jìn)行下一輪的對(duì)比描述——描述班上的同學(xué),呈現(xiàn)形容詞比較級(jí)。通過(guò)觀察、跟讀了解這些詞的音、形、義。
口語(yǔ)部分(Oral practice)是為了進(jìn)一步鞏固剛學(xué)習(xí)的形容詞比較級(jí)。通過(guò)有趣的三對(duì)雙胞胎對(duì)比,讓比較級(jí)在情景中得到合理有效地運(yùn)用。并在不經(jīng)意中將書(shū)上對(duì)話自然地呈現(xiàn)出來(lái),作為口語(yǔ)練習(xí)的例子。學(xué)生從模仿到創(chuàng)造的這種口語(yǔ)訓(xùn)練,為下面的聽(tīng)力打下堅(jiān)實(shí)的基礎(chǔ)。
聽(tīng)力部分(Listening practice)做到循序漸進(jìn),先聽(tīng)順序,再聽(tīng)名字,最后聽(tīng)意思。此部分不再是聽(tīng)簡(jiǎn)單的單詞發(fā)音,更重要的是
15、聽(tīng)有意義的對(duì)話。學(xué)生通過(guò)看圖、聽(tīng)音、跟讀、分角色朗讀形成語(yǔ)感。
結(jié)對(duì)練習(xí)(Pairwork)主要是將所學(xué)知識(shí)在實(shí)際情景中表現(xiàn)出來(lái)。在說(shuō)之前,老師做好了示范,學(xué)生做好了準(zhǔn)備,然后兩人一組表演出來(lái)。
鞏固部分(Conclusion)設(shè)計(jì)了一個(gè)合作任務(wù):學(xué)生四人一組相互討論,寫(xiě)出雙胞胎的不同點(diǎn),每小組選一個(gè)代表作匯報(bào)。通過(guò)這樣的活動(dòng),學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì)相互合作,并獲得成就感與集體榮譽(yù)感。
整個(gè)教學(xué)過(guò)程力求做到環(huán)環(huán)相扣,對(duì)學(xué)生的聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、寫(xiě)進(jìn)行綜合訓(xùn)練,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生運(yùn)用英語(yǔ)表達(dá)思想,進(jìn)行實(shí)際的能力。
