You shouldn’t worry about not having breakfast then. 2. 能力目標(biāo): 熟悉本單元的話題,了解 “中國的十二生肖”和 “西方的十二星座”的相關(guān)知識。 五.教學(xué)重點(diǎn): 1. 重點(diǎn): 1)掌握本課時(shí)的四會單詞和詞組。 2)熟悉本單元話題“Star signs”,并激發(fā)學(xué)生對該話題的興趣。 2.難點(diǎn): 1)理解It’s nice of you to bring me the newspaper. 2)了解 “中國的十二生肖”和 “西方的十二星座”。 第二部分 教學(xué)流程 用時(shí):16分鐘 Part One Wele to the unit Step 1.Warming up 用時(shí):3分鐘 T: Boys and girls, wele to my class. I’d like to start with two interesting questions: (PPT6) Do you know yourself ? How do you know that? What kind of person are you? You see, in this unit we are going to have such funny topics. But first let’s look at the pictures. ( PPT 7) 瞧,在這個單元,我們將談?wù)撨@些有趣的話題。首先,讓我們來看一看這些圖片。 What are these? They are twelve lovely animals. What do they represent? Can you name them? These lovely animals make up of the 12 animal signs in Chinese culture. (PPT 9) They are used to count years. Besides, people also use the animal signs to know themselves because someone thinks that each animal represents one kind of person’ characters. (PPT 10) It’s the year of the pig. People who were born this year are all under the sign of the pig. So the year you were born in decides your animal sign. 你知道今年是什么年嗎?是豬年。在這一年出生的人同屬這一屬相。由此可見,人們的屬相由他們出生的年份所決定。 Discussion: (PPT11) Would you like to talk in the small groups about v what animal sign you were born under? 你的屬相是什么? v what kind of person you may be according to the animal sign? (PPT 4) 根據(jù)你的屬相你有怎樣的性格? These sentences can help you. v My animal sign is … . v I was born in the year of … . v It says I am … . Step 3.Wele to the unit A 用時(shí):3分鐘 T: Do you believe it? Anyway, it’s really interesting. And Western countries use a different way to do the same thing. That is 12 star signs.(PPT 12) However, if you look carefully at these signs, you may find some of the signs look like some certain animals. The sign in Picture 3 looks like a big crab while the sign in Picture 4 looks like a lion. The sign in Picture 5 are two fish. The sign in Picture 6 is a bull. Part Two Wele to the unit (B) Step 4. Wele B 用時(shí):2分鐘 T: Do you want to know what the other six star signs are represented by? Then help Millie join the dots on P.7 to find out and colour the pictures after that. Each star sign represents a period of time in a year. The time of your birthday decides your star sign. 因?yàn)橐荒暧?2個月,所以共有12個星座。每個星座代表一年中的某段時(shí)間,你的生日決定你的星座。 So, The Chinese animal sign system is based on the year you were born in The Western star sign system is based on the month you were born in. 你所屬的生肖是由你出生的年份決定的,而你出生的月份決定了你的星座。 Part Three ic strip Step 5. ic strip 用時(shí):4分鐘 T: I think you bee interested in star signs now and you may want to learn more about them. Eddie and Hobo also have fun doing that. We’ll listen to their dialogue. (PPT15) First look at the questions for listening. (PPT17-18) T: Can you guess what star signs Eddie and Hobo may be? I think you may know that after finishing learning this unit. But we all know that (PPT 19) -It’s very lazy of Eddie to sleep and eat a lot every day. -It’s very clever of Hobo to play tricks on Eddie quite often. What do these two sentences mean? Can you put them into Chinese? 對于Eddie 來說每天只知道貪吃貪睡實(shí)在是太懶惰了。 對于Hobo來說常常作弄Eddie真實(shí)太聰明了。 Part Four Practice Step 6 Listen, read and act 用時(shí):2分鐘 1) Listen to the dialogue again and finish the blanks according to it.
