Starter Unit 1　Good morning Step 1　Lead in Listen to a “ABCDEF！” song. Then Ss learn to sing this song. Step 2　Presentation 1．Greet the class with a smile and say “Good morning！” Introduce the words “teacher” and “class” by using gestures. 2．Introduce yourself and say “Im Miss/Mr.…”Repeat them several times. Explain the terms “Miss” and “Mr.” in Chinese. 3．Leave the classroom, return and say “Good morning, class！” Help the students respond with “Good morning, Miss/Mr.…” Say “Sit down, please. Now lets start the lesson.” (Practice it several times.) Step 3　Game: Choose an English name 1．T: We have many new friends in our class this year. They are from the U．S.A. and England. Who are they? Do you want to know them? Now please look at the screen. (通過大屏幕展示第一頁上的彩圖，然后再展示單張圖片，并分別與名字相對應(yīng)，分辨男女生的名字。) 2．Work on 1a. Step 4　Listening Work on 1b. 1．Tell Ss that our new friends are greeting each other. Please keep quiet and listen to the recording. 2．Ss listen and repeat after the recording. Step 5　Pair work Work on 1c. 運用剛學(xué)的句型和自己剛才所選擇的英文名字來相互問候。 S1: Good morning, Cindy! S2: Good morning, Grace! S3: Hello, Frank! S4: Hi, Bob! Step 6　Listening Work on 2a—2b. 1．介紹26個英文字母。(詳見話題相關(guān)鏈接) 2．Let some Ss read out the letters Aa～Hh. (注意糾正學(xué)生們不準(zhǔn)確的讀音) 3．Let Ss try to remember the letters Aa～Hh. 4．Now lets work on 2b. Listen and number the letters you hear [1－8]. Step 7　Writing 1．First, look at the picture carefully in 2c. Then tell us how to write these English letters. 2．Ss read and find out the writing rules of the letters Aa～Hh. 3．Ss try to copy the letters by themselves. 4．Let some Ss come to the front, and write down the letters on the blackboard. Check with the whole class. Step 8　Practice Work on 2d. 1．First, read the letters aloud. Then let some Ss read them to the class aloud. 2．Let some Ss come to the front and write down the missing letters on the blackboard. 3．Check the answers with the class. Step 9　Read and Talk 1．Let Ss look at the pictures in 2e. Let some Ss read the letters below each picture. 2．Let some Ss talk about the meaning of each picture. Boys names: Bob, Dale, Frank, Eric Girls names: Alice, Cindy, Grace, Helen 2．Now lets review the English letters Aa～Hh. Ask some Ss to come to the front and write them on the blackboard. (注意和學(xué)生們一起糾正個別學(xué)生不正確的筆畫。) 3．Greet the Ss. T: Good morning, Class! Ss: Good morning, Mr./Ms.… Then sing the “Good morning！” song. Now greet your partner with your English names. S1: Good morning, Dale! S2: Good morning, Eric! S3: Hello, Frank! S4: Hi, Grace! … Step 2　Presentation 1．用PPT展示下午和晚上的兩幅圖畫，教學(xué)生們在不同的時間段如何進(jìn)行問候。 2．告訴學(xué)生們，假如你和你的朋友很長時間沒見面了，今天見面時，你們應(yīng)怎樣相互問候呢？ T: How are you, S1? S1: (Help S1 answer.) Im fine, thanks. How are you, Mr./Ms.…？ T: Im OK. Let Ss read after the teacher for several times. Then let Ss practice with their partners. Step 3　Listening Work on 3a. 1．讓學(xué)生們看3a中的三幅圖畫，提醒學(xué)生們注意圖畫中的時間，讓三名學(xué)生分別說出每幅圖畫發(fā)生的時間。 2．Listen to the recording and number the pictures [1－3]． Step 4　Pair work Work on 3b. 1．讓學(xué)生們看3a圖畫中三組人物的對話，讓同學(xué)們學(xué)習(xí)不同的時間段的問候語。 2．運用剛學(xué)的句型，并用自己的英文名字來相互問候。 Step 5　Pair work Work on 3c. 1．讓學(xué)生們看3c圖畫中人物的對話，告訴學(xué)生們戴爾與辛迪很長時間沒有見面了，今天下午，他們在學(xué)校圖書館見面了，他們應(yīng)怎樣相互問候呢？ 2．運用剛學(xué)的句型，并用自己的英文名字來相互問候。 S1: Good afternoon, Frank! S2: Hi, Grace! How are you? S1: Im fine, thanks. How are you? S2: Im OK. … Step 6　Writing 1．Now write down the names of the children under each picture. If you cant remember their names, you can turn to Page 1. Then check the answers with your partner. Let some Ss read their answers. 2．Now write the names in alphabetical order in the right box. Let some Ss read the names to check the answers.　 Step 7　Listening Lets work on 4b. Step 8　Practice 1．Now lets work on 4c. First, lets read the words and letters in column 1. 2．Look at the words in column 2. Can you read them out? 3．Let some Ss try to read the words. Correct their pronunciation.　 Step 9　Singing Work on 4d. 1．Let Ss read the song aloud first.　 2．Listen to the song and sing the song together.
