一、過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí)的構(gòu)成:
主語(yǔ) + was/were + doing + 其它.
變否定—> 主語(yǔ)+ was/were not+ doing +其它
變一般疑問(wèn)句—> Was/Were +主語(yǔ)+ doing +其它?
“句式變換依然在be上做文章”
e.g. Wein class. (study)
否定:Wein class.
—般疑問(wèn)句: in class?
二、過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí)的用法:
1) .過(guò)去某一時(shí)刻正在進(jìn)行或發(fā)生的動(dòng)作。
e.g.①Theyfootball at four yesterday afternoon. (play)② My

2) .過(guò)去某階段持續(xù)進(jìn)行的動(dòng)作e.g. What were you doing during the holiday? He was taking a vacation this time last year.
三、與過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí)連用的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)
常與時(shí)間狀語(yǔ) then, at that time, this lime yesterday, at ten yesterday 等連用,或用另一動(dòng)作 來(lái)表示過(guò)去的時(shí)間。
e.g. ① 1 was washing my clothes this time yesterday.

四、由when或while引導(dǎo)的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句,主從句中過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí)的運(yùn)用。
1) .主從句中發(fā)生的動(dòng)作相對(duì)較前,則該動(dòng)作用過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí)。
e.g. I was cooking when Jenny came in. When I was cooking Jenny came in.
2) .在主從復(fù)合句中,主從句動(dòng)作同時(shí)進(jìn)行時(shí),都要用進(jìn)行時(shí),從句常用while引導(dǎo)。 e.g. Jenny was watching TV while I was cooking.
