三、教學過程
Ⅰ. Warming-up and revision
找出三名外貌差異較大的學生來做比較,一個胖而高大的男生(a fat and tall boy),一個瘦而較矮的男生(a thin and short boy),一個中等身材(of medium height)。
目的:引起學生的學習興趣,了解人物的外貌特征,(即不管外貌如何在
3、不同的游戲中都能獲勝)的對比培養(yǎng)學生的情感和態(tài)度:不要以貌取人(Don’t judge by appearance)。
然后用這兩名學生為例教heavy, tall, thin, short引出句型:
1. What do you look like? He’s really tall. He has long straight hair.
2. What does she look like? She’s of medium/build.

學習課本的第一部分P49,1a先看圖片,然后搭配圖片和相關(guān)的外貌特征的詞。

2. 引導(dǎo)學生熟悉有關(guān)描述人的外貌特征的詞
(1). 用漫畫畫人物教有關(guān)height,curly等單詞。然后操練“What does he look like? He is really tall.” 注意be 動詞的用法。
(2). 一個cartoon girl 教身體的各部位(ear, face, hair, eye, nose, mouth)。然后操練“What does he look like? He has long straight hair.” 注意has的用法。
(3). picture
6、s 來教有關(guān)頭發(fā)的詞匯, 注意has的用法。接著教a beard, a moustache, glasses。

Ⅶ. Guessing game (李詠 潘長江)
全班同學分為兩組,每組選出一名同學作為組代表到黑板前面來,這兩位同學面向其他同學,背向黑板,不許回頭。老師將兩幅名人圖片粘到黑板上或打在屏幕上等,然后分別請這兩組同學向本組的組代表描述本組圖片上人的外貌、工作(第四單元知識點)或其他相關(guān)情況,讓本組的組代表最快猜到本組圖片上名人是誰的小組獲得勝利。在游戲過程中注意:描述的同學每人只能描述一次,并且只能描述一句,并盡可能多的描述人物外貌,在很難猜出時,可以描述工作或其他相關(guān)情況。
