I found this broken (破了的) plate on the floor. 2. I saw a tall, dark and handsome man called Xiaoming (叫做小明)。 3. So many thousands of terrified (被嚇壞了的) people died. 4. John Snow decided to help ordinary people exposed to cholera (遭受霍亂的)。 小結:1)單個的過去分詞作定語時,常放在被修飾的名詞前,作前置定語。 2)過去分詞短語作定語時,常放在被修飾的名詞后,作后置定語。 Step 3 Practice Finish Ex4 on page 21. Step 4 Preparation Pick out the Adverbial of the following sentences. 1. He runs very fast. 2. I go to work by bike. 3. When I arrived there, the train had already gone. 小結:狀語是用來修飾謂語動詞或者整個句子。 Step 5 Grammar 1. plete each sentence using the Past Participle of the right verb. 2. frighten trap shoot follow 1) Frightened by noises in the night, the girl no longer dare to sleep in her room. 2)The lady returned home, followed by two policemen. 3)If trapped in a burning building, you should send for help. 4)Although shot in the leg, he continued firing at the police. 小結:1)過去分詞在句子中可以作時間狀語、原因狀語、伴隨狀語、條件狀語和讓步狀語等。 2)兩種形式:① 過去分詞直接作狀語。 ② “連詞+過去分詞”作狀語。 2.改寫句子。 1) As I was worried about the journey, I was unsettled for the first few days. → Worried about the journey , I was unsettled for the first few days. 2) If he is given time, he’ll make a first-class tennis player. → Given time, he’ll make a first-class tennis player. 3) As I was confused by the new surroundings, I was hit by the lack of fresh air. → Confused by the new surroundings, I was hit by the lack of fresh air. 4) When he was questioned by the police about the fire, he became tense. → Questioned by the police about the fire, he became tense. 小結:過去分詞作狀語時,過去分詞的邏輯主語與句子主語一致。 3.
