Step 2:Listening and reading 1.Teach students the new words in Unit 3. 2.Play the tape and let students listen to the conversations in Activity 1 carefully. 3.Ask students to read them. 4.Ask students to read the conversations alone and underline all the key points. 5.Show the points to the class,and explain some difficulties to students. 6.Divide students into groups of four and ask them to practice acting them out. 7.Let two groups act them out. Step 3:Practice 1.Let students read the sentences in Activity 3. 2.Ask them to match the sentences. 3.Ask two students to share their answers. 4.Listen to it carefully and check the answers. Keys:1-a;2-d;3-c;4-b 5.Let students read the sentences in Activity 4. a)Goodbye.See you tomorrow. b)Hello,Daming.This is my friend,Amy. c)Its time to go now.Goodbye. d)Hello,Amy,nice to meet you. e)Hello,Daming,nice to meet you too. 6.Ask students to number the sentences to make up a conversation. 7.Ask two students to share their answers. 8.Listen carefully and check the answers. Step 4:Reading and writing 1.Let students read the sentences in Activity 6. 2.Then practice it in groups. 3.Ask them to act it out. 4.Ask students to read the sentences in Activity 7. 5.Work in groups and complete the sentences. 6.Listen and check the answers.
