Unit3 Festivals教學設計
一、教學目標
1. 能在老師指導下,聽懂、理解、朗讀小短文并完成相關練習。
2. 能在圖片的提示下聽懂、理解故事。
3. 能理解并學唱歌曲Halloween song.
4. 能通過閱讀知曉萬圣節(jié)、感恩節(jié)等國外節(jié)日的相關習俗,并了解中西方文化
差異。
二、教學建議
1. Read the texts about festivals. Then listen and repeat.讀一讀, 聽一聽,說一說。
Step l 老師呈現不同節(jié)日圖片,并提問:What festival is it? When is it? What do
we often do on this day?引導學生說出對不同節(jié)日的了解。
Step 2 學生打開課本到第20頁,自主閱讀兩段短文,通過回答問題What festivals are they?初步了解文章大意。
Step 3老師提問What do you know about Mid-Autumn Festival and Thanksgiving from the passage? 學生再次閱讀短文,找出相關信息回答問題,進一步理解短文內容。
Step 4老師播放錄音,學生逐句跟讀,借助圖片,學習get together, moon cake,
turkey等生詞和短語。
Step 5學生采用不同形式朗讀短文,如全班讀、分組讀、分段讀等。
Step 6老師分別呈現中秋節(jié)和感恩節(jié)的圖片,引導學生描述,并選出幾人進行展示,老師給予指導和評價。
Step 7老師示范描述其他節(jié)日,其余節(jié)日的名稱,全班開展游戲。

Mid-Autumn Festival
The 15th day of the Chinese lunar August is a very important festival in China.
It’s Mid-Autumn Festival. On this day, the moon is full and bright. Families get together and eat moon cakes. People far from home look up at the moon and think about their families.
Thanksgiving
The fourth Thursday in November is a holiday in the USA. It Thanksgiving.
On this day, families get together and have a big dinner. People usually eat turkey, sweet potatoes and other vegetables. Many people will meet in the streets and enjoy their holiday together. Everybody has fun!
2. Read the story and find out more about Thanksgiving.讀一讀,找一找。
Step l 學生打開課本到第21頁,仔細觀察圖片說出節(jié)日的名稱,并根據自己所學知識談談感恩節(jié)。
Step 2 老師要求學生通過自主閱讀,找出更多感恩節(jié)的相關信息,并在全班匯報交流,了解感恩節(jié)的來歷。
Step 3 播放錄音,學生逐句跟讀,并適時學習native, build, hunt, wild turkey, plant corn, invite等相關內容。
Step 4 學生采用不同形式朗讀故事,如全班讀、分組讀、男女生讀等。
Step 5 引導學生描述感恩節(jié)的來歷及習俗,并全班展示匯報,老師給予指導與評價。

It is 1620. The Mayflower lands in America. The ship comes from England. The People on the Mayflower are looking for a new home. It is winter. The people from England are cold and hungry. Native Americans help them to build houses. They show them how to hunt for wild turkey. They show them how to catch fish. Later, when it warm again, they show them how to plant corn. The people want to thank the Native Americans and have a big party. They invite the Native Americans. They call their party Thanksgiving.

Step 6 采取不同形式朗讀短文,如全班讀、分小組讀、男女生讀等。
Step 7 老師引導學生根據所學內容描述萬圣節(jié)的相關習俗,并請2-3名學生匯報,老師給予指導與評價。

On 31st October, children in Britain and the USA dress up as witches, monsters or ghosts. They go from house to house and ring the doorbell. When the door opens, they call out, "Trick or treat.”
Most people give the children a treat, often chocolates or other sweets.
Some people don’t give the children anything. Then the children play a trick. They come back, ring the doorbell again and run away.

Step 2老師播放錄音,學生初步感受歌曲旋律及內容。
Step 3老師再次播放錄音數遍,學生嘗試跟唱歌曲,并重點學習第三段,如老師借助圖片和動作幫助學生理解和操練歌詞。
Step 4學生再次演唱歌曲,可采用多種形式,如師生對唱、男女生對唱、分組對 唱等。
Step 5老師示范,引導學生創(chuàng)編新歌曲,談談其他的節(jié)日,并選出2-3組進行展示,老師給予指導和評價。

5. A story—A surprise.故事——一個驚喜。
Step 1老師播放錄音,學生通過回答問題:When does the story happen? 初步感知故事內容。
Step 2學生打開課本,小組分角色朗讀圖片1-5,通過回答問題:What do they get? What are they doing?了解故事起因。
Step 3 學生聽圖片6~9的錄音,回答問題:What do the children find at Mr Pearson’s house? 了解故事的發(fā)展,并適時學習strange,ladder等詞語。老師再次播放上述部分錄音,學生逐句跟讀,模仿錄音中的語音、語調。
Step 4 學生帶著問題How do they help Mr Pearson? 自由朗讀圖片10-18,了解故事的結局,老師隨后繼續(xù)播放錄音,請學生有感情地跟讀,老師適時教育學生遇事要冷靜機智地想辦法解決。
Step 5 全班采取多種形式朗讀故事,如全班讀、分角色讀等。
Step 6 老師引導學生嘗試表演故事,并選出2-3組進行展示,老師適時給予指導和評價。

Policeman: OK. We’ll check it out.
(Ten minutes later)
Policemen: OK, children. Your names and addresses, please.
Policemen: Thank you. Go home now, please.
Emma: Look!
Policeman: Police! Come down!
Mr Pearson: Good evening, officer! I left my key in the house and locked myself out.
: Oh, it’s Mr Pearson!
Policeman: Well done, children.
Mr Pearson: Hello, detectives. Have a treat.
Together: Thank you, Mr Pearson.
