Unit 2 It is still read and loved. 【數學目標】 詞匯 adventure,run away,dead,neighbour,funeral, alive, pay for, action,everyday,dialogue 句型 1.When and where is the story set? 2.It tells some exciting stories about a boy who has many adventures. 3.He does not like people telling him what to do,so he always gets into trouble. 4.They hide and watch for a time when they see their family and neighbours coming to their funeral in the church. 5.Everyone is surprised to see them at first,but very pleased to find that they are alive. 6.… and it is thought to be one of the greatest American stories. 重點難點 1.本單元詞匯和重點句子。 2.一般現在時的被動語態(tài)。 【教學思路】 本單元的教學內容是第七模塊第二單元。這是一篇閱讀課,重在培養(yǎng)學生的閱讀能力和寫作能力。本單元向人們介紹了《湯姆索耶歷險記》這本書及杰克遜先生看后的感想。在學習這篇課文時,首先讓學生快速地略讀,然后使用方框中的單詞回答Activity 1中的問題。再精讀,找出文中重點短語和句型,并能熟練完成課后習題,培養(yǎng)學生的閱讀能力。然后根據課文體裁,仿寫一篇小短文,鍛煉學生的寫作能力。 【教學準備】 多媒體,黑板,錄音機等。 【教學過程】 Step 1 Warming up T:Boys and girls,have you read the book called The Adventures of Tom Sawyer? Who can tell the story? 在課前教師讓閱讀過這本書的學生講述故事的內容,讓其他學生對這本書先有個大概了解,然后讓學生們帶著興趣去學習這篇課文。 活動小結:教師通過設立的問題自然地導入新課的學習。 Step 2 Presentation 1.教師利用多媒體以圖片的形式在屏幕上展示本課的詞匯:adventure,southern,run away,dead,neighbour,funeral,alive,state,pay for,action,everyday,dialogue。然后教師按照圖片的先后順序進行講解,并讓學生用這些單詞造句。 2.然后領讀。再找讀得好的學生領讀。 3.給學生5分鐘的時間記單詞。然后教師指著大屏幕上的圖片讓學生進行單詞接龍比賽。通過教師快速閃動圖片,讓學生一個接一個地拼讀單詞,看誰記得又快又準確。 活動小結:通過多媒體展示詞匯,刺激學生的視覺感官,避免了枯燥乏味的說教,調動學生的學習積極性。 Step 3 Reading 1.首先讓學生看Activity 1,了解方框中這些單詞的意思,然后讓學生翻譯下面的問題。 What kind of story is The Adventures of Tom Sawyer? When and where is the story set? 然后讓學生帶著這些問題快速地閱讀課文,并找出這些問題的答案。 2.讓學生再次精讀課文,并在文中畫出重點短語和句型,然后教師把這些短語和句子寫在黑板上。 3.讓學生分別說出這些短語的意思。然后教師領著學生分析句型,告訴學生它們?yōu)楸粍诱Z態(tài),并講解什么是被動語態(tài),什么情況下使用被動語態(tài)及它的構成方式。本單元的知識點為一般現在時的被動語態(tài)。然后教師舉例講解如何由主動語態(tài)變?yōu)楸粍诱Z態(tài)。 a.We plant many trees every year.→Many trees are planted by us every year. b.Lily often do her homework after dinner.→Lilys homework is often done by her after dinner. 然后教師寫出5個句子,讓學生把它們變?yōu)楸粍诱Z態(tài)。 Change the sentences into the passive voice. ①Many people speak English in China. ②We clean the classroom every day. ③People grow rice in South China. ④My father makes dinner every day. ⑤Kate often washes clothes. 教師可以分別找5名學生到黑板上做題,檢驗他們的掌握情況。 4.教師播放錄音,讓學生注意聽單詞發(fā)音及長句子的頓點。 5.再播放一遍,讓學生跟讀。 活動小結:通過反復操練,使學生達到熟練運用的程度。 Step 4 Consolidation & Extension 1.為了檢查學生對課文的掌握情況,讓學生完成Activity 3的表格關于The Adventures of Tom Sawyer這部分內容。 2.詢問學生:What is your favourite book?Who is its writer?Who are its main characters?What does the story tell?等按照表格中的問題對學生依次進行提問。然后讓學生完成“Your favourite book”部分。 3.T:Hi,kids.We have known the story The Adventures of Tom Sawyer,and then according to the text,lets do Activity 4.Complete the passage with the correct form of the words in the box. 找一名學生說出方框中單詞的意思,然后教師給學生5分鐘的時間完成短文填空。當學生完成后,找兩名學生分別給出答案,其他學生進行比對,看誰的答案正確。 活動小結:通過完成短文,加深對課文的理解。 Step 5 Homework Write a passage about your favourite book.Use the passage in Activity 2 and the information in Activity 6 to help you.(寫一篇小短文,介紹自己最喜愛的一本書。可以仿照Activity 2和利用Activity 6中的問題。可以這樣開頭:My favourite book is Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone by J.K Rowling.It is a story about a boy …) 【板書設計】 Unit 2 It is still read and loved.
